The brief
When Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort revamped its beachfront restaurant at Siloso Beach, the new Trapizza needed a sound system built for an outdoor setting exposed to sun, salt air and rain.
Absolute Sound installed a weather-proof system with wide-dispersion speakers, so the sound carried evenly across the dining areas regardless of where a table was set.
The system was split into multiple zones, each with its own volume control, so the restaurant could set the mood differently across the space.
A private room was wired to run as its own zone, or to join the main outdoor zone when the two areas needed to feel like one.
