The brief

Pebble Bay is a waterfront condominium development in Singapore. The management wanted to update the sound in the gym, which had outgrown its original system as the space was used for everything from yoga to high-intensity classes.

Absolute Sound designed a multi-zonal configuration, with each zone controlled independently so volume could be set to suit whatever class or activity was running in that part of the room.

Subwoofers were fitted and concealed, so the system delivered a consistent low end without any visible equipment breaking up the room.

The gym project led to further work. Pebble Bay’s management asked Absolute Sound to handle the sound in the development’s function room as a separate project.
