A Meridian System, Installed With the Interior Designers

A Meridian DSP8000 and 218 streamer system, with every cable routed out of sight before the speakers went in, then tuned to the room by Absolute Sound.

The brief

The system is built around a pair of Meridian DSP8000 active loudspeakers, each with amplification and crossover built into a distinctive pyramidal cabinet, paired with a Meridian 218 streamer for high-resolution digital sources.

The client was already working with their own interior designers on the room, so Absolute Sound worked alongside that team to route and conceal every cable before the speakers went in. The speakers themselves stay in view, two pyramidal cabinets the room was planned around. What disappeared was the wiring.

Once the system was in place, Absolute Sound tuned it to the room, adjusting for acoustics and speaker position until the DSP8000 settled correctly into the space.

The result is two loudspeakers standing in a room designed around them, no visible wiring, and a system tuned to where it stands.
