Description
The Fives II are powered stand-mount speakers. Amplification, decoding and streaming are built into the pair, so there is no separate receiver to buy. Each speaker has a 5.25-inch woofer and a 1-inch titanium tweeter on a Tractrix horn, in a veneered MDF cabinet.
One HDMI eARC cable takes sound from the television, with Dolby Atmos playback using virtual height channels. Over Wi-Fi they stream through Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect, and Bluetooth 5.4 is there too. A dedicated analogue input with a built-in phono stage takes a turntable directly, and a subwoofer output is available if you add one later.
Within the series, the Fives II are the smallest of the three. They do not have Dirac Live room correction, a coaxial input or a calibration microphone, which the Sevens II and Nines II include.
