What Loewe makes

Siegmund and David Loewe founded the company in Berlin in 1923, moving design and production to Kronach, in Upper Franconia, in 1948, where the stellar series is still made today. Loewe’s habit is restraint. Cabinets are drawn to be seen from every side rather than hidden behind a room, colour is calibrated at the factory rather than left for the room to sort out, and the set is treated as a piece of furniture that happens to switch on. The stellar line took both the iF Design Award and a Red Dot for product design in 2024. A Loewe TV price sits above mass-market OLED, the result of individual colour calibration of every panel in Kronach rather than production at scale.

Is this the same Loewe as the fashion house?

No. Two unrelated companies share the name. Loewe Technology is a German electronics maker founded in Berlin in 1923 and based in Kronach since 1948. The Spanish leather goods house is an entirely separate business. If you are looking for televisions and home audio, this is the right one.

Where are Loewe televisions made?

What does factory colour calibration mean in practice?
