Andante Largo
Andante Largo is a Japanese manufacturer of hi-fi racks, isolation feet and contact-stabilising accessories, built on the idea that what a component stands on shapes what it sounds like. Absolute Sound is the distributor for Andante Largo in Singapore and Malaysia.
Built like a frame, not a platform
Andante Largo was founded in Tokyo by Ryo Suzuki, previously Japan’s long-standing distributor for Linn. The racks are built using tube-and-lug construction borrowed from high-end bicycle frame-making, aimed at what the company describes as a low-mass, rigid, continuously coupled structure, rather than the heavier, over-engineered platforms common elsewhere in the category. The same reasoning, support without added mass, runs through the spike feet, isolation boards and contact-stabilising fluid that make up the rest of the range. Andante Largo’s own phrase for the approach is direct: “the technology inside the sound.” What that removes from a system is a claim every listener is left to judge in their own room.
